Getting around
Sliema and the neighbouring St Julians are both situated by the sea and they are linked by a beautiful promenade. Sliema is more of a residential and shopping area but it also has a good selection of restaurants. St Julians has even more hotels and restaurants including some very nice ones close to the sea. Cinemas and clubs are situated at the night entertainment hotspot called Paceville which is close to St Julians.
It is possible to walk to most places in Sliema and St Julians, there is a cheap and efficient bus service run by Arriva Malta but it is often more convenient to get a taxi to reach other places in Malta.
